Technology, Primitivism, Ted Kaczynski Anonymous 09/26/2020 (Sat) 15:44:15 No. 35568
A response to someone mentioning Ted. TL;DR: Ted is full of shit and retarded, people memeing him are organized. Read his book, spot the self contradictions. Long post: >>35331 > Industrial Society and it's Future, Kaczynski Did you even read this peace of garbage? Of all the possible objections to technology Kaczynski manages to be the most self contradictory and retarded. Read the opening of it and spot these self contradictions: 1) < modern living makes us depressed and we need to return to primitivism (I'm not remembering or using his special snowflake words) to be happy. Hold one a second I'm not depressed and all the problems are political. kind of ass pulled 2) SELF CONTRADICTION TIME ! < You see you can be vary happy if you [find a goal in your life] (my words not his) however ... A) You self contradicted to 1 B) GG I'm out no need to read further I'm happy and have clear goals. Try naming your book something more appropriately like "people without goals are unhappy and see no meaning in their lives" see you fagot. < .... However you see these goals are """fake/unnatural''' goals (my words not his) (he names them something like surrogate activities or something like this) So more of the same its really question begging why we are to abandon these "unnatural goals" other then Ted implying that we are to do this. This is also self contradictory since failed math teacher is to stupid to do any proper argument like <Only 1% can accept to have unnatural goals Or anything resembling this argument. I recommend everyone reads it and understands what Ted is saying, as far as I did read into this garbage he simply self contradicts and assumes that these unnatural goals are not something people are supposed to have. I need to finish his writings however this looks like another retarded meme ideology for idiots to run around, since most anon are to lazy or incompetent to read 100% of this book or even more then 1 page of text and internet personalities will tell them what this magic book actually says (see Protestantism). As far as I got (and I keep interrupting to think about what he is saying to think about it and realize the contradictions not blindly reading text like some machine and have no idea what it all actually means) it looks exactly what you expect from some idiot hobo living in a cabin. Also I recommend everyone get into Text To Speech and simply make their own audio book version of this book. No surprise the primitivists got really angry when I pointed out this technology. This way you can listen to what he is saying if reading is to hard for you. >I know it's been heavily memed Watch out for the primitivists trying to shill their Ted crap they are getting organized a guy like https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC2eYFnH61tmytImy1mTYvhA Luke Smith Who are strongly into tech and shill Ted a lot. 1/2
>>35568 There are serious questions and challenges about technology. However remember most consumer technology is will put into physical reality and the question is whose will is it ? For example nothing says that your communication devices must be spyware. However the tech giants making them want to spy on you so they deliberately make little peaces of code or hardware (see baseband processor) to spy on you, you can have a even faster gadget if this spyware crap is removed however the tech giants want to control you and make you pay for your slavery chains. As for Ted he is oblivious to this he thinks all technology is the same (a XX century understanding of things) and can be no other way. True for old and primitive tech installing anti copyright infringement tech into VCRs would be fantastically difficult in 1999, fast forward to 2020 and we have a different story, its no longer some magnet and tape spinning around these things are fully programmable computers. We need to ask the question if military and industrial technology and its progress are inevitable and something we can not opt out (see that militery-industrial tech is totally different from consumer tech) and the result is inevitable and we are here only for the ride and its inevitable conclusion. A simple example of this is that no stone age tribe can challenge (excluding hollywood CGI fiction) modern age technology. Can you imagine even stone age tribes disabling a tank or attack helicopter? Its immune to their weapons ! This is why military tech progress is inevitable anyone not participating in it is out of the game fast. This is also why if there where any primitivist tribes they got exterminated by the tribes embracing technology. It can sound silly however iron is a miracle in the stone age, if you disagree try making a stone axe and cut down a tree with it and then do the same with a iron axe. Going back to Ted, he did give one of these unnatural goals as dedicating your life to the study of marine biology by some guy (I don't care to look it up). What he failed to realize that a unnatural goal like dedicating your life to improving weapons will result in far greater national benefits then everyone looking for food all day. Since improved weapons will exterminate all hostile tribes or nations. Same for industrial technology, like improved motors, I give a hint that modern encrypted communications are practically impossible to crack using WW2 technology, they can listen to all the signals they want however you need a real computer not spinning electric discs of crap to crack this and a super fast processor. I also like to point out how primivivism is shilled in the media lets see 2009 avatar noble primitive aliens = good; technologically advanced humans = bad and the primitives defeat advanced future human tech. Captain planet, even going back to bambi, Ted is a idiot that most likley got indoctrinated by primitivist/eco propaganda in the media and wrote a bunch of irrelevant crap. 2/2
>>35568 Ted's analysis of left wing thought is amusing and interesting, as well as his claim that we are essentially all aristocrats. It's an entertaining idea, I simply never thought about it from that perspective. The whole point of technology is increasing our quality of life, and now it's ridiculously easy to survive. But while he laments how our time is spent on the arts, science, and other non vital time wasters, I am quite content with our collective aristocracy. Some aspects of technology are detrimental, but it is hard to separate those from political problems, and I don't think there are many large, inherently technological problems. From what I read of his work, that's what I disagreed with and liked. So in other words, his writing is amazing if you just ignore the bad parts :)
>>35571 >So in other words, his writing is amazing More like terrible trash. >Ted's analysis of left wing thought is amusing and interesting More like pointing out the obvious. There is nothing special since everyone knows this, maybey in 1990 it was some not well known thing.... However seriously every idiot can figure that one out. His pointing out the obvious fact of the left (anti white, anti western, will shill for Muslims and sharia law and feminism at the same time) is not central to his idea that is about technology. Its like some padding at the beginning. >The whole point of technology is increasing our quality of life You don't get what I have written consumer technology is some goal/will made into reality. Technology today is terrible fucked and has spyware in it and literally serves the corporation that made it and not you. I mean if we <Ironic name> think of the stone age with its tape drives/VCRs and simple rocks <Ironic name/> then yes however we are in the computer age and this no longer applies. Technological enslavement will be used on us by the elites no question about it.
>>35656 >>35571 Shit I think I add this: You look terribly tech illiterate. The FSF and EFF and GNU and Linux did more to help prevent the technological dystopia that is coming then some failed math professor in a cabin. TED KNOWS NOTHING! Listen to RMS: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CP8CNp-vksc Yes RMS is a meme with his <GNU+Linux distribution and anal about getting recognition for his part in creation the Linux OS however he says lots of good stuff and created the GPL arguably the most important license of all times. And I bet you did not understand any of it. <What is GPL what is GNU ? Educate yourself. https://www.defectivebydesign.org/ https://www.defectivebydesign.org/cancelnetflix https://www.fsf.org/ https://www.eff.org/ http://gnu.org/
His bombs were shite. For a guy with a doctorate in science, mathematics, he would have had to pass with decent marks, organic and inorganic chemistry at least to the second year level. He'd have to have at least 3rd year physics. So his home made bombs should have been super powerful and effective. They weren't. They were no better than the match head bangers we made with big threaded bolts and nuts. He was a weird autistic freak and a massive losers. His fanboys find in him a celbrity that's a kindred loser.
And overall his strategy was pure fail; he fucked up a few small people at the bottom of the ladder, blasted off some fingers and thumbs, added to the general suffering of humanity without actually accomplishing anything. He's a highly educated idiot but then, after all he was a Berkley prof.
Indeed, OP. Some semblance of Homesteading, Permaculture, and a drastic reduction of the Military-Industrial Complex, is more to his point. You might want to prosetylize Cyberpunk Amish and some other guy might have a point with Psychonaut Prepper, however, theres no books about those to chew on. Of which, someone can rip it apart with their own semantic interpretations and think they have The Perfect Long-Awaited Ideology. You can publish any time you like, but you can never leave.
The Unabomber Manifesto came out before Snowden and Tor, before facial recognition and the surveillance state, before Alexa and Artificial Intelligence, before TVs that watch you and mobile phones that track you. At the time, he was a future-seeing madman that extrapolated that trap a decade, and a half, before it got a systemic grip on us. Its a cautionary work, it kept focus on the vast resources the state would use against us. It was the new "1984" in manifesto form
Upon the American world in the late 90s, his work was a mind bomb. Its unknown how many people read it, but it spun out into the grid, in full, on major newsprint. It was like someone dropped an anchor on our bouncy castle. Linux is something else. Ted's ideological critique, his own, was extraordinarily prescient to the coming spectacle. The psychic living space was still very much analog, digital capability ubiquity was absent, and Big Brother and the Military-Industrial Complex was yet to be galvanized by a magnitude with big data. The modern era as we know it, was nascent, the brain spider of the masses was just starting to get into everything, the web. The finety was, not there yet. And now theres people that go off-grid, practice privacy and self-sufficiency, theres been an exodus, and not from the urging of some guy that said that preposterous stuff two decades ago, but by necessity for their own thriving. The government only had your driver's license, medical, DNS and HTTP records from a home-based computer, and any other entrenched, official paperwork. Now, you generate 100 times more data, think about what those are, they have all of it, in triplicate, at multiple agencies, in triplicate. And theres more people, and more people with those additional data points, and a larger government, with more data points, with a trillion more dollars to spend. Ted saw the rise of, and fallout to, the accelerated distribution of technologies that had the capability to control our living management and the development of weapons specifically against the brain. And that has arrived, any government can now switch your living off easier and quicker than ever before, without paperwork and phonecalls, without latency and warrant for search, its for homeland security. They can either disable your data, electricity, job, car, debit card, but that aint their style, this aint China, so theyll keep you blissfully on-grid and surveilled in case you and others, in non-OpSec alliance, are a threat to the aboveground part of Continuity of Government. Knowing how the government is, you are a threat to any and all government agents because you exist, so you will be regulated and ruled, and technology provides that invaluable, and now centralized, insight into who you are, as well as an instrument that will be used to control you should the occasion arise. So it must be done to everyone.
>>35568 >Hold one a second I'm not depressed and all the problems are political 1. Depression might not be noticeable in this regard. Most zoomers are depressed and don't even know it. Not to mention, he's speaking of society as a whole. 2. The problems related to politics often are related to Industrial Society itself (example, Marxism) and could be less influential than you think. >You see you can be vary happy if you [find a goal in your life] (my words not his) however ... > You self contradicted to 1 > GG I'm out no need to read further I'm happy and have clear goals. Try naming your book something more appropriately like "people without goals are unhappy and see no meaning in their lives" see you fagot. Absolute strawman, as you mentioned. His argument is that most modern goals are surrogate activities, which actually bring very little satisfaction, as they are artificial and an inferior replacement to actvities/goals done in nature. Therefore, they bring mental illnesses, alienation and more. > why we are to abandon these "unnatural goals" other then Ted implying that we are to do this. Because their replacements (or originals, more correctly) are more fulfilling, more suited for us as a species and achieve the same things as surrogates but without the side effects > failed math teacher He's a literal genius, with a 165 IQ, went to Harvard at 16. George Piranian, another of his Michigan mathematics professors, said "It is not enough to say he was smart" >Only 1% can accept to have unnatural goals I'm not sure what you're saying here. Are you implying that only 1% can sustain it? Are you saying he should've been more precise? Apologies in advance for any spelling error, I'm not used to PC nor Anglo
>>35569 >For example nothing says that your communication devices must be spyware. However the tech giants making them want to spy on you so they deliberately make little peaces of code or hardware (see baseband processor) to spy on you, you can have a even faster gadget if this spyware crap is removed however the tech giants want to control you and make you pay for your slavery chains. Depends. It could be an inevitable byproduct of technological capitalism. A movement always becomes corrupt after all, and the power of capital, especially in democracies, only makes this easier, faster and more widespread, as can be seen in most countries in the world, regardless of race, religion, climate, geography or system of trade (like Estonia). >As for Ted he is oblivious to this he thinks all technology is the same Not true. However, he's largely giving a critique on social and psychological dynamics which, considering his arguments, can not include those changes, as relevant as they are. >We need to ask the question if military and industrial technology and its progress are inevitable and something we can not opt out I'd say so. Governements or corporations or even just private individuals will always look to one up each other, disregarding economical, ecological, political, racial, religious and so on damage in the long term. This can be seen in modern corporations and their capitalistic attitudes, in sociology or even politically (with Trump, for example). > A simple example of this is that no stone age tribe can challenge Which is why in "Anti-Tech Revolution: why and how" he explains that the best course of action is guerrilla-like accellerationism of the inevitable collapse while acting in cell-like structures of less than 50 members. He never claims we should reach it *now* but that is obvious, as with Marx's ideas (although knowing his ideas were for Proles he chose to specify, but that's another case). > This is why military tech progress is inevitable anyone not participating in it Which is why he never suggest direct attacks, an establishing of an AnPrim tribe(?) or a civil war. He suggests speeding up it's inevitable collapse. > by some guy Hirohito, the emperor, after the war > What he failed to realize that a unnatural goal like dedicating your life to improving weapons will result in far greater national benefits He does realize this. But he doesn't care, because: 1) He suggests a re-organization into Hunter-Gatherer Tribes 2) You assume the 2 coincide, whereas he doesn't 3) You assume that such a war can only bring good, whereas it's more likely to bring M.A.D > 2009 avatar noble primitive aliens = good; technologically advanced humans = bad and the primitives defeat advanced future human tech About imperialism, not technology. Bambi is about a family and against hunting (opposite to Ted) Captain Planet doesn't have neither of those undertones, it's just a Sci-Fi/Fantasy setting
>>35657 >>35656 >>35731 >>35732 These are pretty barren, not much to reply to/with. Only a couple chunks. You're saying a site/org/corporation is good because it helped slow down the problems cause by technology itself, which is a pretty bad argument. I suggest you, and many others, read his works more carefully and completely. Industrial Society and It's Future is supposed to be to Technological Slavery, Anti-Tech Revolution and a Critique of Anarcho-Primitivism what the Communist Manifesto is to Das Kapital: an introduction which gives a general overview of his ideas. Since praxis was mentioned, this https://theanarchistlibrary.org/library/ted-kaczynski-hit-where-it-hurts is also worth reading (it's 3 pages so don't waste your money on it) Apologies again for speeling/sentence structure/text, I'm a bit of a newfag (yeah I know you hate 4cunt refugees, but I hope my posts were decent enough to not be considered shitting up the board).

Way too many people misinterpret his writings. It's important to remember: 1. It's his simplified thought. If he was free, he could explain every detail. He isn't and doesn't have unlimited time, and thus can't expand on his thought too much. 2. His books are supposed to be read by the average person. He can't write a 1.500 page long essay on the details of sociology and primitive life regarding his theories or else people won't read it. 3. He's short and clear. If you read offhandedly, you won't understand it; in Anti-Tech Revolution he even specifies it's meant to be read again and again to understand it fully. 4. It's incredibly complex. If you read his works and then read any other form of political, economical and/or sociological literature, you can explore a whole universe of thought, more than many other ideologies or writings. This means that it not only isn't easy to understand if not thought about but also leaves open many concepts. 5. His writings are many: he has published 4 major books and a minor one, all of which explore different ideas and elaborate on previous ones, therefore without reading them it can be hard to get a correct or full idea of his thought process/reasoning/philosophy.
Retard whose bombs couldn't kill more than 3 people, like wtf you spend your life fighting a war against technology and you can only blow off some fingers. He would have more success shipping fireworks and a tripwire taped to the seal so when you open it it explodes I have had more success at blowing up my childhood enemies room with some chemistry sets and a homemade clock timer
>>37780 >Retard whose bombs couldn't kill more than 3 people Yeah okay buddy retard, how many people have you killed with bombs?
>>35657 Had no idea these privacy issues existed with Ubuntu. Using it currently.
>>35568 I believe he is right in that technology advances faster than our 'spirituality' needed to cope with such fast changes.
(2.02 MB 1024x683 1603235009459.png)
>>35568 You are retarded. The reason why primitivism is the best way is that the expansion of 'knowledge', tech or 'science' to the unwashed masses just instills a more powerful for of control over them than religion, however with no moral code of conduct. It is the ultimate bread and circuses. Tech also allows for a decreased amount of environmental pressures for genetic selection. This means there an increasing amount of dysgenic and maladaptive individuals in our society. Decadence = decline
>>38330 > privacy issues existed with Ubuntu. Using it currently. Think about switching to a difernet distro. >Using it currently. Using any Linux distro is better then Windows or OSX.. >>37117 >You're saying a site/org/corporation is good because it helped slow down the problems cause by technology itself, which is a pretty bad argument. The ted retard speaks ! And what do you propose? >You're saying a site/org These are websites of foundation, you can name them organizations if you like. By saying org you mean organization right? I await your genius proposition of ted worship that does not involve having an organization of people who are ted fags like you. Ted fags are retarded as fuck. >the problems cause by technology itself, You are retarded as fuck and don’t know what technology even is. Prove that all technology leads to bad things ted worshiper. You can not and simply assert and repeat ted garbage. >the problems cause by technology itself, Also retarded on its own technology did not create these problems. You are failing into the ted retardation. The corporations decided to insert spyware, they payed extra to bundle spyware in the things you want. The problem are the corporations not technology itself. This is you: <Hey guys lets ignore the super evil coronations who make our technology, lets ignore the CEOs planing and implementing spyware and bad shit lets ignore all this and pretend that there is simply no other way and technology must result in this. Fucken stupid as fuck. Not that ted fagots behave anytihng else then brain amputated apes all the time. >I suggest you, and many others, read his works more carefully and completely. Industrial Society and It's Future is supposed to be to Technological Slavery, Anti-Tech Revolution and a Critique of Anarcho-Primitivism Marks is a pants shitting retard and the communist manifesto is a waist of time 99% of the communist manifesto <I’m MARX ! <See this socialist organization ? <insert name here> They are NOT ME ! Obey ONLY ME MERX ! And it lists shit loads of organizations page after page after page after page. I see you did not fucken read the communist manifesto ! I did fagot! Its a colossal waist of time. The best part is when Engels comes in and explains even the basics and these are the only parts worth reading and they are like 5 pages in total while Marx shits up garbage page after page. Ted retards are like s stupid they compare themselves to Marxism like its a good thing.
>>37126 >2. His books are supposed to be read by the average person. He can't write a 1.500 page long essay on the details of sociology and primitive life regarding his theories or else people won't read it. Excuses excuses. He could have written all of this in detail before he started the bombings and demanded it be published. Instead we get waists of time like <Did you know that leftists are actually anti western and anti white ? <And that they ignore Muslim oppression of woman? No shit ! >He can't write a 1.500 page long essay on the details of sociology Why not? >or else people won't read it. Proven wrong. I would read it. So what you are saying is this <The retard ted writes wrong and dumbed-down shit so other retards with short attention spans can read it. Nice destruction of your own god you posted there. Like you yourself declared his retard philosophy is written for retards who can not think.
>>37780 >>37786 Not him however >Yeah okay buddy retard, how many people have you killed with bombs? Anders Behring Breivik >On 22 July 2011, Breivik detonated a fertilizer bomb outside the tower block housing the office of Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg in Oslo, resulting in eight deaths.[80] You really got defensive over this ted fag, like really fast ! Damn talk about how pathetic and insecure ted fags are.
